FAQ

Answers for engineering teams evaluating nanocomposite materials.

Clear answers to common early questions about material selection, sample requests, documentation, and qualification.

What does Elect Nano mean by discrete carbon nanotubes?

Discrete carbon nanotubes are separated rather than bundled into large agglomerates. Elect Nano uses cleaning, debundling, functionalization, and dispersion strategies so dCNTs can integrate more uniformly into host materials.

How do I choose between an ESD-safe thermoplastic and an EMI shielding material?

Start with the failure mode. ESD materials target controlled surface or volume resistance for charge dissipation. EMI shielding and absorbing materials target electromagnetic isolation or attenuation across defined frequencies and part geometries.

Can Elect Nano provide datasheets and SDS documents?

Yes. Current TDS and SDS documents are available for download directly on each product page — no request required. For application-specific qualification packages, additional documentation is provided during technical review.

Does the sample request form process payment?

The sample request process starts with technical review rather than immediate checkout. Elect Nano confirms material fit, sample format, documentation needs, and any quote requirements before fulfillment.

What information helps Elect Nano recommend the right sample?

Useful details include the target property range, polymer or substrate preference, operating environment, geometry, qualification test method, quantity, timing, and shipping region.
